Patophysiology of the Endometriosis

Obstructive malformations:

Menstrual reflux is very common in women.
The functional abnormalities that may lead to menstrual reflux correspond either to a decrease in the “resistance” tubal in its intramural portion, or an increased compressibility of the myometrium.

In fact, the most important causes are obstructive anomalies of the genital tract, where it has been shown to increase the risk of endometriosis. Uterine and vaginal anomalies promoting menstrual reflux are associated with a greater frequency of pelvic endometriosis and are responsible for cases of endometriosis occurring in adolescent girls, sometimes younger, for example if hematocolpos.

Experimentally, the diameter of the cervical canal is the most important quantity that determines the percentage of liquid escaping through an artificial fallopian tube. This disease was surgically visualized and documented in 24 of 25 women complaining of chronic pelvic pain and stenosis of the external os.

Obstructive Mullerian anomalies only promote endometriosis.
A study of 64 women with Mullerian anomalies undergoing intervention and assessed the frequency of endometriosis, endometriosis was found in 10 of 13 women with endometrial functional tubal permeability and an obstacle to the flow rules but only in 16 of the 43 women, with non-obstructive abnormality (77 versus 37%, p> 0.01).

In a series of 748 infertile women who underwent laparoscopy, the incidence of endometriosis was assessed by presence of a non-obstructive Mullerian anomaly (N = 198) or not (N = 545) and no difference in frequency of endometriosis was observed between the two groups.

In addition, the mechanism of occurrence of endometriosis in cases of obstructive anomaly can be very different from that associated with infertility, we observed spontaneous regression unу, almost complete, very extensive superficial endometriosis after correction of a hematocolpos.

Finally, we must remember that some tubal reconstructive surgery, such as uterine ampullo implantations were associated with increased menstrual reflux. Some cases have also been reported after distal tubal surgery.

Do not forget about the insidious this disease. Many people are unaware of what the consequences for life might arise in consequence of the disease. Imperative for this disease is a medical treatment as a disease and its symptoms are. Pain and spasms occur in humans also need to facilitate. For this purpose, can be used antispazm drugs, such as Soma. Every person can buy Soma by doctor’s consultation in big variety of pharmacies. Follow all rules and regulations for the use of any medication.

Pain Conditions and Their Treatment

Posted by Fergal Butler in Painless Life

Sometimes there are periods when it is necessary to provide pain relief in those patients who are injured or are waiting to be operated, have heart disease, cancer or arthritis. They believe that certain medication will help and provide temporary relief.

Chronic pain can be very troublesome. It can be caused by some present or pass illness, but sometimes it develops on its own, without the connection to any disease or injury.

Very often tests show nothing abnormal, but a person feels a real stress. Later, physical pain produces emotional stress and, consequently, a number of unpleasant sensations, sleep disorder, weakness.

One of the most important things in the case is to build healthy working relationship with a doctor. If you suffer from arthritis or other rheumatoid related disease, consult a rheumatologist. In case you have pain of unknown nature, you may choose to seek advice of a pain management expert at any clinic in your area. The majority of hospitals commonly have pain management specialists on staff.

Before going to a pain management specialist, you must be examined by a primary care doctor to manage your overall health. Both doctors should be in the know of all your records. You should inform doctors about all drugs you take both prescribed and those you use on your own. This information must be given to exclude the risk of overdose and negative effects of wrong drug interaction(s).

An effective pain reliever for chronic pain disorders is Tramadol. The action of the drug is that of narcotics, but Tramadol is less addictive and produces fewer side effects. The side effect of most narcotics is depressing respiration, but Tramadol doesn’t cause such an effect. The other advantageous feature of this drug is that has a low risk of internal bleeding or stomach ulceration in comparison with some other analgesics. Tramadol now is very often bought at online pharmacies.

Tramadol can influence the physical abilities and thinking necessary for operating machinery or driving. Tramadol shouldn’t be prescribed to patients intoxicated with hypnotics, narcotics or alcohol. Increased dosages of Tramadol together with anesthetic agents or alcohol can decrease breathing. Patients with kidney or liver dysfunction may need lower dosages of the drug. It is not known how Tramadol influences children. As a rule, this drug is not habit forming. Patients with hypersensitivity to opiate drugs or a history of opiate addiction should avoid using Tramadol.

Understanding and Treatment of CFS

Posted by Fergal Butler in General Issues

Daily fatigue annoys all of us but remember Chronic fatigue syndrome (CFS) is a seriously debilitating illness. The key symptoms of CFS are: generalised pain, fatigue, memory loss, and concentration problems and depression or anxiety.

The term CFS came from Western medicine as the condition presents a cluster of symptoms without an apparent cause. CFS is not caused by a virus, bacteria, hormonal changes or other physiological abnormal ities. In short as there is no specific disease to fight, therefore Western medicine finds CFS a little confusing and difficult to treat.

The condition in TCM terms is much more easily understood and treated. TCM identifies Chronic fatigue syndrome as an imbalance in the body which has developed over a long time period and commonly pertains to a body pattern of Qi deficiency.

I have classified the key causative factors of CFS into three headings:

Post viral illness

Fighting a viral illness is carried out by the IM (immune system). Dealing with an infection can be an exhausting process for the body. Once the bacterias viruses has been dealt with, either by natural defences or medication, it can leave the constitutional health in quite a depleted state.

Often due to this, original symptoms of the illness such as coughing, sinusitis or pain can continue even though the body has supposedly dealt with the infection.

Emotional Trauma

According to TCM the mind, spirit and body are all interconnected. Stress affects the heart kidneys and the liver which in turn will disrupt systems such as; the metabolic, the digestive and the hormonal. If the emotional disturbance is significant or ongoing it will quickly disrupt the body and inevitably create high levels of fatigue.

Excessive Physical Exercise

Excessive exercise from sport or a labour intensive job can seriously deplete the body’s energy. This will no doubt result in possible repetitive injuries and fatigue. Obviously exercise is necessary for good health but it is possible to have too much of a good thing.

Treatment

CFS usually develops over a long time period and therefore, a cure won’t come in a single pill. The body’s Qi needs to recover. TCM offers an effective treatment for improving the quality of life and can significantly reduce recovery time.

Key points for recovery and preventing CFS:

• Not over taxing the body during illness, stress or physical work.
• Nutrition is crucial, regular meals containing the correct balance of protein, carbohydrates and fats are essential for stimulating the metabolism.
• Not eating excessive raw or cold foods from the fridge as this can cause inhibit absorption of nutrients and minerals and bloating.
• TCM herbals and acupuncture will help strengthen the body more quickly.

Acute intensive abdominal pain

Posted by Fergal Butler in Painless Life

Abdominal pain is often acute, has no obvious physical cause, and passes quickly. Acute intensive abdominal pain that does not pass within hours, should always be brought to the attention of a healthcare professional, especially if it is accompanied by vomiting, fever, or intensive cramps. Apart from very acute diagnoses, abdominal pain can stem from sanitary problems during imprisonment (infection) or trauma (beating of the stomach). Many torture survivors suffer from stomach ache in combination with acid regurgitation, due to dyspepsia, or even gastric duodenal ulcers.

Stress, anxiety and fear may also cause abdominal pain in adults and children (Anxiety, Stress management). The pain then has a more diffuse localisation, often increasing when the patient is more tense or nervous. In these cases, the pain may also be associated with defecation problems, such as diarrhoea or constipation. This form of abdominal pain can last for many years and is often part of a Whole body pain syndrome.

Muscle, joint and bone pain

Posted by Fergal Butler in Painless Life

Muscle pain is common and is often a reaction combined with other pain conditions. Both physical and psychological tension may evoke muscle pain. The pain sensation in one part of the body may evoke muscle pain in other parts of the body and may be regional or widespread. Scars after cuts and burns may also cause problems with muscle or joint mobility.

The pain associated with muscle damage is typically described as an aching and cramping pain. Muscle pain is often difficult to localize to one specific muscle. It is a frequent cause of pain after torture and is known for its tendency to become chronic.

Pain in the bones and joints is often described as deep, grinding, stabbing, gnawing and aching and is often related to movement. This may make sufferers afraid to move because they fear that movement will injure their joints. The contrary, however, is true. Movements and regular compression in the joints are essential for the healthy functioning of joints.

People should make purposeful mental efforts to reduce and manage pain, to manage daily activities as they did before, in order to cope with muscle and joint pain. What they do depends on how and what they think about their pain symptoms. Their behaviour expresses and communicates the perceived severity of pain and physical impairment. The more severe the experienced physical disorder is, the more illness behaviour he or she may display.
